One reason leadership teams put off building a real dashboard is the assumption that their data isn't ready. In our experience, most companies already have what they need. It's just spread across a few systems that don't talk to each other.
What we ask for
Monthly financials, two to three years
A monthly profit and loss statement, usually from QuickBooks, Xero or a similar system. This gives you revenue, gross margin and operating expenses by month, and it's the backbone of the Growth Plan.
Revenue detail
Sales by customer, product line or job, ideally with dates. This shows where revenue actually comes from, which customers are growing, and how concentrated you are.
Pipeline and sales activity
Leads, proposals or bids, and wins, from your CRM or even a spreadsheet. This is where drivers like close rate and average deal size come from.
Headcount
Employees by month, and by role if you have it. You need it for revenue per employee and capacity.
Your plan
Your 1-Year Plan, budget or revenue goal for the year. If you don't have one, that's fine: building a Growth Plan with you is part of the first build.
What you can skip
- Perfect data. Gaps and inconsistencies are normal. We note them and work around them. The findings depend on how complete the data is, and we say so.
- A new system. The Dashboard pulls from what you already use.
- Every metric you track. We focus on the few drivers that explain the gap to plan.
Keeping it safe
Before any data changes hands, we sign an NDA. Your data goes into a separate, secure app that only named people can see, and if we don't move forward, it's deleted within 30 days.
How long it takes
Pulling the data often takes a few hours of someone's time on your side. From there, we build the first version of your Dashboard and walk your leadership team through what it shows, typically within about two weeks of receiving the data.
For qualified companies, that first build is free. Start with the Growth Fit Check or request a discovery call.
Compare your revenue per employee and profit margin with your industry in about two minutes.
