Cost to Deliver

What does it take, in hours and cost, to serve each client?

What it looks like on the Dashboard
The Margin Drain. Delivery hours per Monthly Advisory client-month rose from 75 to 113, against about 68 at the normal firm. If nothing changes they creep to about 124. The scope check brings them back to 75 by February.

Illustrative. Juniper Ridge Advisory is a fictional firm with a full year of modeled data, analyzed the way we analyze yours.

How to calculate it

Hours and loaded cost per unit of service (one client-month, one project, one job), by person, by team and by day. The spread between people delivering the same service is where the insight is.

For example

If one consultant delivers a monthly engagement in 55 hours and another takes 90, either one has a better method or the other needs help.

Signs you need it

Margins slide while prices and clients stay the same.

Pulling it looks like

Standard templates and checklists, automation, removing steps clients don't value, and spreading the best performer's method.

Cost to pull

Time to document and train.

Watch out for

Speed bought at the expense of results. Check it against Client Results.

Pulling a lever

One owner, one Rock, two forecasts.

Every Growth Lever on your Dashboard shows where it lands if nothing changes and where it lands if you pull it. The gap is the case for pulling it. Most companies should pull two or three at a time, sometimes four, never five.
